What is the difference between EVUS and a Visa?
An EVUS is not a Visa. It does not meet the legal or regulatory requirements to serve as a U.S. Visa when a Visa is required under U.S. law. Travelers who plan to travel to the United States as visitors must possess a valid visitor Visa, class B1, B2 or B1/B2. Travelers who are People's Republic of China citizens / Nationals with B1, B2, or B1/B2 10 year valid Visas only, are required to enroll with EVUS and must have a Visa prior to travel. If you are enrolled with EVUS and arrive at the airport the traveler will be able to travel to the United States. Any other class of Visa that is not B1, B2, or B1/B2 with a 10 year validity will not be required to apply for an EVUS.
